Merricks Creek is a family run business that has been making minute parcels of high quality wine for nearly two decades. These wines can now be enjoyed at our vineyard, accompanied by a selection of creatively inspired share plates and experienced amongst the vines. Surrounded by trees, the property offers a tranquil escape and enchanting views, leaving civilisation to become only a distant memory.

Winemaking at Merricks Creek began in 2001 when a contract to sell our pinot noir crop suddenly collapsed. Until then we had considered ourselves grape growers only. We have continued making pinot noir every year since that fateful 2001 vintage and in 2015 we produced our first chardonnay. This is a hobby “gone mad” but we, and our now grown up children, simply love the place and everything that comes with it.

Our wines are not sold in bottle shops or restaurants. They are exclusive to our cellar door.

  • Grilled raclette cheese, hot potatoes, cornichons & cocktail onions
  • Olasagasti anchovies with warm baguette
  • 6 hour braised lamb shoulder with smashed mint peas
  • Free range pork and fennel meatballs in tomato sauce on orzo pasta
  • Terrines: 
    • Pork and pistachio with lightly marinated red onion
    • Rabbit and confit onion with a mustard cream
    • Duck and brandy-soaked prune
  • Main Ridge Dairy fresh cashmere goat curd, caramalised pear and walnuts
  • Lightly seared carpaccio of eye fillet with a coriander & chilli dressing & parmesan
  • Pate:
    • Free range chicken liver pate with a carrot & diakon pickle
    • Duck and cherry pate served with sour cherries
